Three years of Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering course was started in the year 1996.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a field of engineering which is not restricted to the world as electric, but generally the studies applications of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century, after the commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including Electrical Machines, Power System, Power Electronics, Control Systems, etc.  Electrical Engineering is considered to deal with the problems associated with large-scale of electrical systems such as Power Transmissions and Electric motor controls. In fact, Electrical Engineers are usually concerned with using electricity to transmitting of energy, and the depth of study is not restricted or bound.
